Children of the Corn

We went to a local farm today for some good old fashioned fun. A hay ride, pumpkin picking, a corn maze and some hot chocolate. The Doyle Unami farm also has a little animal area for the kids. It was a great day.

A train, a maze, and a pumpkin patch

Not having a standard camera with is today we took a bunch photos with our camera phones. We took a train from Phillipsburg to a Corn Maze then onto a little pumpkin patch. It was a great ride and a gorgeous day for a long walk. Despite using GPS, the maze still took a little while to complete.

Haunted High School (not so musical)

We recently visited the old Lambertville High School that appeared in Weird New Jersey. We are huge fans of the publication and try to visit local attractions. There is a great plug-in for Google Earth that maps out all of the Weird NJ locations. Be sure to obey all local laws. Seriously!

Happy Birthday Gab!

Mad and Gab spent some time on a farm with horses owned by friends of ours. It was a great day and the girls love horses.

Our last day in Niagara

Very sad to leave but we had a trip to Ted’s Famous Hot Dog ahead of us. After a great lunch we made it home.

Blues and Jazz Fest – Red Bank, NJ

It was just Gabby Matt and Shannon on an adventure today. We braved most the Reb Bank Jazz and Blues Festival. The day was great despite the horrible weather. Gabby was especially cute since the other two weren’t here torturing her. Gabby is quite the daredevil climber.

These pictures only represent a small part of the day because Matt wrapped up his camera in the middle of the festivities.

We attended last year and had the same weather.I think we boated past Jon Bon Jovi’s summer home. If there was a Bruce sighting it would have been a perfect day at the Jersey Shore

Here are some pics.

A day at Bowcraft – Mountainside, NJ

img_9601.jpg Bowcraft is a little amusement park on Route 22 in Mountainside/Scotch Plains, NJ. They have a lot of great rides for such a small amount of real estate on a busy highway.

Here are some pics.

Somerset Patriots – Bridgewater, NJ

Bree got to sing the National Anthem at the Somerset Patriots game at Commerce Ball Park in Bridgewater, NJ. We are big fans of Minor League Baseball and also fans of the Trenton Thunder. The Trenton Thunder is a Minor League team in the Yankee family and the Patriots are in the Red Sox family. Even though we are fans of the Mets we were fortunate to see Derek Jeter play a game when coming off an injury. Roger Clemens also recently played in Trenton.

A handful of couples also chose the renew their wedding vows at the ballpark before tonights game.

Greek Festival – Piscataway, NJ

We enjoyed all of the standard Greek delights. It was a little light on the entertainment or activities but the food more than made up for it.

A few shots from the day.

Brian and Jodi’s Big Weekend

Wow, what a weekend! Brian and Jodi got married in Spring Lake, New Jersey. The weekend was jam packed full of fun and excitement. We stayed at the lovely Chateau Inn and the reception was at the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club. Matt took way too many pictures as usual so if you have plenty of free time take a look at both pages.
